Hudson County Is Taking A Closer Look At Truck Routes

Hudson County Division of Planning has launched its first-ever study into trucking. The county is studying how the form of transportation impacts the local economy, environment and neighborhoods. A $320,000 grant from the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority will fund the project. The study will make recommendations for truck route regulations and use of local roadways. It will also propose policies on how to mitigate negative impacts on health, well-being and the environment.
