Russo Development Begins Its First Multifamily Project in Newark, New Jersey
Russo Development has kicked off a multifamily project in Newark, New Jersey. The 297-unit apartment and retail complex will be the company's first in the city. Thirty affordable housing units will be built as part of the developer's inclusionary zoning ordinance. Broad Street is less than 500 feet from the Broad Street station. It is within walking distance of Newark's downtown commercial business district. The development advances Newark Mayor Ras Baraka's vision for transit-oriented development and mixed-use development, according to Russo.
